Board Member, Track Two
Co-Founder, The Sequence
Ksenia Semenova is a Board member of Track Two, where she is currently writing a book on the legacy and evolution of citizen diplomacy – drawing on the institute’s decades-long role in bridging the U.S.–Russia divide, especially during the late Soviet period.
She is also the founder of Turing Post, a media platform exploring the past, present, and future of artificial intelligence. With sharp editorial insight and historical depth, Turing Post maps the breakthroughs, ideologies, and human stories behind today’s AI transformation. Previously, Ksenia co-founded TheSequence, a widely-read newsletter that helped demystify machine learning for tens of thousands of readers across the world.
Before entering publishing, Ksenia led strategic initiatives at the award-winning fintech company Cindicator. She has written on Russian politics and society for the Institute of Modern Russia – where her 2015 article “A New Wave of Emigration: The Best Are Leaving” was named one of the year’s top analyses and later cited in an Atlantic Council report—and served as a contributor on Russian affairs for Stratfor from 2017 to 2019.
She lives in rural Connecticut with her husband Will Schenk and their five children, dividing her time between raising a family, shaping the future of AI, and preserving the legacy of Track Two diplomacy.
